InkToBrain is software that lets a business bring its own documents together and ask questions of them. Our head office is at 542 15th Street, San Diego, CA 92120, United States. This page covers two different things: what this website collects about visitors, and how the product itself treats a customer's data.
What this website collects
- The contact form stores the name, email address and message you send, on our own server, so we can reply. Nothing else is attached to it.
- The updates list stores the email address you subscribe with, on our own server, and is used only to send product updates. Unsubscribe by replying to any email or through the contact form.
That is the whole list. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and includes no third-party trackers, fonts or scripts. We do not sell or share visitor information with anyone.
How the product treats customer data
- Documents stay on the customer's server. Each customer runs their own instance; the library — documents, database and conversations — lives on infrastructure the customer controls.
- AI providers see excerpts, not libraries. When a question is asked, only the short passages needed to answer it are sent to the AI model the customer has configured; a whole document is sent only when a person explicitly asks for a full read. The product can also run against a local model so that nothing leaves the machine at all.
- Backups are encrypted. Nightly backups are sealed with AES-256-GCM under a passphrase the customer holds.
- Error tracking carries no personal data. When enabled, crash reports contain the failing route and stack trace only — no request contents, no documents, no personal information.
Retention and removal
Contact messages and subscriber addresses are kept until you ask for them to be removed. To see or delete what we hold about you, ask through the contact form and we will act on it promptly.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. A material change will be announced to the updates list before it takes effect.
